On the eve of the EXPO-2017 Tourist Area opening, Astana EXPO-2017 National Company Chairman of Board Akhmetzhan Yessimov revealed operation of the facilities in the post-exhibit period.
The presentation was attended by Astana City Mayor Aset Issekeshev, the RK Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abaev and other high public officials.
The Company CEO confirmed that on November 11 and 12 admittance to the Tourist Area of EXPO-2017 Exhibition Complex will be free of charge. The Nur Alem National Pavilion, Best Practice Pavilion, thematic pavilions and Art Center will be open for the guests and citizens of Astana. A. Yessimov told the paticipants about the destiny of other EXPO-2017 facilities.
“Presently, the countries are finishing disassembling of their pavilions and after that we will start reconstruction thereof. The first facility is the International Financial Center which will be located at Pavilions С-3 and С-4. We have already received the design specification from the AIFC and started developing of design estimate documentation. At Pavilion С-2, an exhibition complex will be located. It will be used as a platform for various exhibitions and international and national displays. Development of the project specification is underway. The ‘Atameken’ National Chamber of Entrepreneurs has been engaged in the task,” reported Chairman of Board.
“Such centers have been functioning in many countries throughout the world and demonstrated their efficiency. At the earliest stage, they determine professions of utmost importance to a person capable of being the most successful in the future. It is a global trend in education focusing on life satisfaction. It will be the first such center in our region. Presently, the concept thereof is being developed in cooperation with Nazarbaev University,” clarified the EXPO-2017 Company CEO.
In the EXPO-2017 area, an International IT Startup Technopark will be established which will be a national base for development of this industry. The Logistics Center will continue operating in the previous mode, and the Media Center (Communication Center) will be transferred to mass media.
“The Communication Center will become the location center of the leading mass media as it possesses the entire necessary infrastructure and has demonstrated its efficiency during the EXPO,” declared Akhmetzhan Yessimov. The Astana EXPO-2017 CEO is confident that all the facilities are unique and they will be in demand. The Exhibition area will become the Country’s patrimony: the new business and tourist center of Kazakhstan.
